surprise treats
Just in time to celebrate easter! I opened a sweet package from my secret pal this evening which really reflected my love of bunnies, handmade goodies, of course knitting and well the generosity of the human spirit. It's so fun to participate in secret pal exchanges and experience surprise gifts put together just for you...I should say me! First I opened the card with a lovely saying printed on the front "It isn't the great big pleasures that count the most; it's making a great deal out of the little ones." — Jean Webster
well said.
In the top two bags were adorable handmade soaps made by my pal, three yellow turtles for me and a green bunny for Max. Max happened to be in the bath with his daddy at that very moment so I ran in and gave him his little bunny soap. "It's slippery" was his comment. He then licked it and had to rinse his mouth afterward, tee hee.
Next I pulled out "hopping along" all natural sugar cookies made by starlight creatives, mmmm tasty and so cute! Eating them as I type this, but promise to save some for Max.
Lastly there were two hanks of hand painted 100% cotton boucle Chilean yarn called Pehuen by Araucania. The variegated colors are warm and bright and really fun, right now I'm feeling like this may turn into a bunny one day. I love being exposed to a new yarn. This is wonderful package, thank you so much secret pal!!
Happy Easter!

hello bigbunny,
Oops - so sad that the cookies look a little crumbled. They were so pretty. Sorry about that. I'm sure they still tasted good.
Also the turtle soaps were a beautiful tangerine orange when i put them in the mail...wonder if heat or cold affected the color. The bunny looks an odd color too. Oh well... I may need to ask you some questions for next time.
