amazing gifts

Lambspride Red
Lambspride Whitebrown

Seeing that I'm currently knitting a toy robot (two arms to go) with Lambs Pride, I was thrilled to open the first couple of gifts from my secret pal. What fun, more yarn for toys, woo hoo. But I really wasn't clued in (though I should have guessed with brown, red & white yarn) what was coming next...

Knitted Sock Monkey

Oh so cool, I love this pattern for a knit sock monkey, how fun! The pattern sounds so unique, the shaping resembles a traditional machine-knit sock heel and toe. As you know I have a serious thing for knitted toys — and you the fabulous ms. secret pal have obviously read my archives and figured me out in a big big way. You are divine, and such a good gift giver!! I am so excited to knit this monkey. So who is Carol Wood and where did you find this pattern?

Fruit Chocolates

And here's a little knitting fuel...

Knit Anywhere

And no excuses, I can now knit ANYWHERE! tee hee these are great!

Toys To Sew

Then, I opened this lovely book full of wonderfully adorable and inspiring toy patterns. So zakka, I love love love this too. Happy happy me! There are even lots of little toy clothes patterns inside. The sock cuddles, button eyed crocodile, elephant and the felt mouse are so sweet. Way too much fun, thank you thank you thank you. You've just out done yourself. I can't wait to find out who you are, though I already know you are a wonderfully generous and incredibly thoughtful soul.

I'm so glad you liked everything! The Lambs Pride is one of my favorites too.

I purchased the pattern from a woman on Ebay (I think she also sells them on Etsy). I remember seeing somewhere that she would be having other patterns soon, but I'm not sure what they are or when they will be available.

I thought it was a cute pattern, plus you make actual sock heels and toes while knitting it so if you ever decide to try sock knitting, you will have had some practice!

I have received a few sets of the needles from past SPs and as a prize in this SP round. I thought they were a cute gift idea and something that most people probably wouldn't buy for themselves.

I'm still waiting for a few things for your final package, I hope you like it as much as this one.
